A lot of us don't know the difference between self and selfish. When some of us say we love ourselves so much, you get this look as if your selfish from those who really don't understand what it means to love self first. We have to love self first in order to love someone else. Loving ourselves first mean we love the good, the bad, and the ugly while continuously aiming for better, and accepting where we are in our lives today. So does it mean we're selfish when we have set standards for ourselves? Does it mean we're selfish when we don't accept certain behaviors in our circle of LIFE? Does it mean we're selfish when we don't consume ourselves into things that will not help us become better while we help others? A friend of mine posted "SELF LOVE IS THE GREATEST LOVE! WHEN YOU HAVE THAT, YOU CAN LOVE, FORGIVE, AND CONTINUE TO EVOLVE. EVOLUTION BRINGS ABOUT CHANGE!" Does this statement mean that maybe they're selfish? In order to gain the most high understanding about self and selfish you have to really know what the terms mean. Once you know what the terms mean, ask yourself if your selfish or if you love self first. Listening is the most beautifulest thing, because you learn so much. Giving your opinion all the time is not always best especially if you haven't took time to give any thought or time to educate yourself about what you just heard. We do things differently depending upon our understanding, wisdom, and knowledge. Next time your being a listening ear, don't state your opinion too quickly especially if it's based on emotion. Things always happen for a reason in your season. Is it self or selfish?
Thanks Shanel couldn't of said it better than that!!
